The World Health Organization (WHO), promotes this date to raise awareness of the need to prevent and diagnose this disease early.
Breast cancer is the leading cause of death among the female population, representing 16% of female cancers.
Although breast cancer affects mostly women, it occurs in both sexes.
Fortunately, every day, advances in cancer research and treatments increase survival rates, along with early detection, healthy lifestyle habits, and psychological and emotional support.
